A First for me.....

Yehehe... I just donated blood today and it felt good. (Honestly, OI was nervous because I have a fear of needles and blood; But after this day, I feel that I just lost that phobia of needles. )

Though it hurt a bit due to that humongous needle (it just feels like a pinch), it felt good because I would help other people's need for blood.

Hehe. I just knew this day that I had a Blood Type B and a heavy 71 kgs of darn fatty weight. hehe.

I look forward to donating more blood in the future. I encourage anyone to donate for the benefit of others' lives.

Panagbenga... Just around the corner.

Here we go again...

Baguio is gearing up once more for the famous Baguio Flower Festival - Panagbenga 2009.

As always, this will be brought to you LIVE through the RNG of ABS-CBN and TFC Now!

Well, this year's fest will be a long one starting from Feb 1 till mid-March 09
but the most awaited Parades :

FEB 29 - Grand Street Parade
MARCH 1 - Grand Float Parade.

However grand or special it is, the festival will always bring more crowds than ever so if you get into a situation where you can't find a great place to watch... I suggest watch it on ABS-CBN TV 3 Baguio!!!!

NEW life, new JOB....

I apologize for being away from blogging for the past months... I got busy from studies and the subsequent juggling of studies and work last September 08.

Updates:
I graduated (but have not marched) last October.
But last August, I applied for ABS-CBN Baguio to become a VTR Editor. Hehe, I just took my chances and hoped to be taken. And yup! I officially started last September and I am darn tired. hehe.

Yep, a new job, new life... a new chapter in this darn life mine.

SONA here... SONA there... SONA everywhere... Sona wag na lang!

SMILE!!!!

I just do not know, the SONA has its different meanings... from "pangakong napapako" to a laundry list of PGMA's accomplishments, from nonsense talking to praises left and right. Where shall we go?

Are these different versions of the country's condition really true? I just do not know. Sometimes the both sides of the fence make blabbers that would force your face into frowning or laughing in disgust. These SONAs from PGMA to the militants just make people raise their eyebrows.

Inasmuch as we would like to believe in both the clapping men in Congress just a few minutes ago to the banners and red flags on the streets, we do not see anything that happens.

Both have closed minds from the government to the militants, from rhetoric to rallying, from strong words to deafening megaphones.

To our President, to our friends in the streets, to our fellow countrymen, let us listen to each other. We really cannot fight fire with fire but if we get ourselves into political will, personal sacrifice, and basic listening skills, we could move on as a nation.

cellphone addict

My handy Sony Ericsson W810i turned 1 year older last July 15!!!

Hehe, it has been in my mind to change it but it begs not to be sold or be taken for granted for a newer phone. awe...

In the past few weeks, I have been scouting for an alternative to my walkman phone.
I considered the following:

S.E. P1i - yeah, I'm for the WiFi and the decent 3.2MP camera!!!!
S.E. W910i - black slider with cool walkman features and software but underrated camera
S.E. W960i - darn cool phone but it's too expensive and some reviews about it turned me off
It shows that I have a bias for S.E.
I just have a thing for the Walkman brand of phones, it just makes you look cool with that famous W logo. A head-turner of some sort. ;)

Samsung Soul Series (U900 particularly) - whew! hot phone! but Samsung's inadequate support in the country and lack of accessible Samsung accessories is giving me the "wait a minute" moment. However, it is still nice to have it! hehe. Second phone perhaps? eheh.

Samsung G900
- wahahhaah. I'm starting to like smartphone such as this G900. Hehe.

Motorola RAZR2 - cool exterior but when I remembered that moto phones have one of the worse user interface and menu system, I had to leave it out but it is just too cool to hold on the hand.
By the way, Motorola will be ditching their mobile phone business due to management and financial difficulties. This was brought by the meteoric rise and fall of the RAZR phone... from bringing Motorola back in the spotlight with the RAZR series to nothing... no innovation but just repeating the RAZR until the series cannot be innovated anymore.

Nokia sucks, in my opinion.
Why?
1. Phone's value depreciates fast due to phone turnouts almost every week. (with the exemption of the N95)
Buying a cellphone is investing hard-earned cash for something that should have a good market value even after 6 months.. but with Nokia's case, just a few weeks would slash thousands to your phone's value! Yep!
2. The phones have a "plasticky" feel...
3. Weak construction which results to early destruction of the phone's parts.
4. Their phones are too common to the point that no one cares if you're handling an N-series phone or an 1100... no offense but I prefer to be different.
5. They copy too much from other manufacturers.

Well, I'm not done yet!

iPhone 3G - yep, I know, it is a fad but it has a pride factor that makes you one the few who does touch screen all the way. Though it only has a 2.0 MP camera, it is still Apple. You know what I mean... I'm waiting for Globe! Darn, make the launch ASAP!!!!!!

Guys, help!

Suggest a great phone!
