SONA here... SONA there... SONA everywhere... Sona wag na lang!

SMILE!!!!

I just do not know, the SONA has its different meanings... from "pangakong napapako" to a laundry list of PGMA's accomplishments, from nonsense talking to praises left and right. Where shall we go?

Are these different versions of the country's condition really true? I just do not know. Sometimes the both sides of the fence make blabbers that would force your face into frowning or laughing in disgust. These SONAs from PGMA to the militants just make people raise their eyebrows.

Inasmuch as we would like to believe in both the clapping men in Congress just a few minutes ago to the banners and red flags on the streets, we do not see anything that happens.

Both have closed minds from the government to the militants, from rhetoric to rallying, from strong words to deafening megaphones.

To our President, to our friends in the streets, to our fellow countrymen, let us listen to each other. We really cannot fight fire with fire but if we get ourselves into political will, personal sacrifice, and basic listening skills, we could move on as a nation.

cellphone addict

My handy Sony Ericsson W810i turned 1 year older last July 15!!!

Hehe, it has been in my mind to change it but it begs not to be sold or be taken for granted for a newer phone. awe...

In the past few weeks, I have been scouting for an alternative to my walkman phone.
I considered the following:

S.E. P1i - yeah, I'm for the WiFi and the decent 3.2MP camera!!!!
S.E. W910i - black slider with cool walkman features and software but underrated camera
S.E. W960i - darn cool phone but it's too expensive and some reviews about it turned me off
It shows that I have a bias for S.E.
I just have a thing for the Walkman brand of phones, it just makes you look cool with that famous W logo. A head-turner of some sort. ;)

Samsung Soul Series (U900 particularly) - whew! hot phone! but Samsung's inadequate support in the country and lack of accessible Samsung accessories is giving me the "wait a minute" moment. However, it is still nice to have it! hehe. Second phone perhaps? eheh.

Samsung G900
- wahahhaah. I'm starting to like smartphone such as this G900. Hehe.

Motorola RAZR2 - cool exterior but when I remembered that moto phones have one of the worse user interface and menu system, I had to leave it out but it is just too cool to hold on the hand.
By the way, Motorola will be ditching their mobile phone business due to management and financial difficulties. This was brought by the meteoric rise and fall of the RAZR phone... from bringing Motorola back in the spotlight with the RAZR series to nothing... no innovation but just repeating the RAZR until the series cannot be innovated anymore.

Nokia sucks, in my opinion.
Why?
1. Phone's value depreciates fast due to phone turnouts almost every week. (with the exemption of the N95)
Buying a cellphone is investing hard-earned cash for something that should have a good market value even after 6 months.. but with Nokia's case, just a few weeks would slash thousands to your phone's value! Yep!
2. The phones have a "plasticky" feel...
3. Weak construction which results to early destruction of the phone's parts.
4. Their phones are too common to the point that no one cares if you're handling an N-series phone or an 1100... no offense but I prefer to be different.
5. They copy too much from other manufacturers.

Well, I'm not done yet!

iPhone 3G - yep, I know, it is a fad but it has a pride factor that makes you one the few who does touch screen all the way. Though it only has a 2.0 MP camera, it is still Apple. You know what I mean... I'm waiting for Globe! Darn, make the launch ASAP!!!!!!

Guys, help!

Suggest a great phone!

Sulpicio is synonymous to Suspicious

Sulpicio is synonymous to Suspicious...

Right from the start, Sulpicio Lines have never learned their lessons from the three tragedies
they had in the past, and now add to their records of 700 plus more people!

It seems that Sulpicio Lines have the knack for substituting people with numbers...

What makes me angry is the easy say of Sulpicio owners that "we would pay you 200,000 for each casualty..."

Is 200,000 pesos enough for a person's life? Is business more important than the people who should have been
been given the utmost care and dedication? Ah, let me answer that with a DEFINITE YES!!

I just cannot believe that what Sulpicio Lines is doing now, just a few weeks after the tragedy, is Suspicious...
It seems like the Go family is trying to pitch the blame to other entities and gain money from those whom they have filed a case.

For example, PAG-ASA is being blamed for faulty predictions and inadequate updates during the typhoon.
For one, the weather agency does not have the equipment to do frequent accounts. Shish... common sense people.
When a typhoon is headed to your direction, seek shelter and not think of the time wasted in waiting for the storm to leave or calm.

Second, I happened to check out the weather at CNN, and even their meteorologists admitted that that "Frank"
has pushed the boundaries of weather forecasting and the dynamics of typhoons. They were even shocked,
as for their term, that "Frank" made a turn to the country when all whether services in the world predicted the direction to be otherwise.

Another example is Sulpicio's case against Del Monte for not declaring the endosulfan cargo as toxic and
believe it or not, they are asking 5.5 MILLION for damages and some more legal fees... AHHHHH!

And I do not know if they plan for more, maybe impeach the President? Hehe. Just kiddin'

This is very suspicious. Why not take care of the casualties' families?

Do you know why people are so dismayed and frustrated? It is because Sulipicio lacks the MORAL SUPPORT to the victim's families.
Though their is a 200,000 financial support, there is no substitution for plain old compassion.

It is disheartening that Sulpicio is still running their shipping business when in fact they have killed the largest number of
people during Peace time. Now that's a World Record!

Right now, let us pray for the victims of the tragedy and hope that the Go family would be more human than businessmen within
the confines of their green offices.

God Bless to all!

BLOG UNDER CONSTRUCTION

Im doin some fixes on the CSS of my blog at Blogger. Please bear with my oddly colored blog. Thanks.

A Boring Post and being bored in the days of boredom

Whow, I haven't felt so darn bored in my life.
16 years of constant studying and it has hit a nerve... my boring nerve. Hehe, if there is such a thing...

Though I still have 6 units to finish before finally graduating from UP, the 7am class and internship is making me darn bored.

I dunno but I just hope to find a good part-time job which would not be in conflict with my great schedule. Yeap! This is my reality - cum laude in the making. hehe. Im just trusting God in this journey of mine and I owe everything to Him.

As of now, Im in danger of losing the chance for the coveted title but Im not desperate for it, more so cry over the dream that gets trampled after doing stupid things at your last semseter in college. ahem.

My friends say that it is just a title but it does not make a man... the title just boosts a short-term high but later will realize that life is not at all cum laudes...

I just have to face the music whether I like it or not... It would just be good to have that title and bring pride to the family's already darn history.

But the real thing is still coming, work and women. Just joking... I'll wait for the right time when I would have the girl that God would tell.

Being bored just means how bored I am.

Thus, this darn boring post.

Chao, and peace to earth!
