Internship: wows, ahems, and ay agi-s!!!!

This is the closest I could be to experiencing the real world of journalism. Internship!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

wahhh. Just a few minutes ago, I, together with Kuya Richard, passed my letter and resume (and a portfolio?) to the Northern Luzon Chief of Phil. Daily Inquirer.

Before passing, I just became so nervous wahaha. me? Nervous? ahem. hehe.

It will be an over-the-top experience to (wait a minute, not yet confirmed) work for one of the premier newspaper organizations in the country. Well, hopefully we will be taken because we are excited and somewhat challenged (wait for the second installment).

By the way, there is an issue regarding this year's internship.
Sir Rolly of PDI only allowed U.P. students to become interns in his bureau. And unfortunately, the word got out last enrollment. Who the hell is that dumb ass who said it all? Ahem, the other schools may just be bitter over not getting the internship in our "turf". hehe. Just kiddin.

SIr Rolly said to drop by tomorrow if we will be accepted in the bureau... I hope.
But there are disadvantages for this venture to PDI.
1. We have a requirement of 2 published works. And if you know the dynamics of this newspaper, it will be as hard as finding space in China.
2. Our supervisor might be one of our instructors who gives the highest grade of 1.75 in even rare occasions. wah. He handled our news writing, investigative reporting, and community journalism classes. (Fortunately, he wasn't my instructor in my investigative reporting class). History tells that the average grade he gives is from 2.0 to 2.5. Now that's a big gap!!
3. The newspaper's reputation seem to be getting into my nerves - nervousness. Just the name alone, the Inquirer carries a distinction of being a very respected news organization (and number 1 in the country too!). When you bring the name "Inquirer", people would look at you as if the gods of journalism blessed you. hehe.
Im just too humble. eheh.

Anyway, let us see if we really are goin to be accepted.
