UP Navigators.. to know Christ and to make Him known.

We are in this world for a purpose. We are in these times when we need a true friend who would listen to. We are in a place we encounter hardships, trials, challenges...

We are in need of a friend, more of a brother, to guide us through our way to salvation.

Jesus Christ.

Let us take the journey together, with the Good News that our lives would continue after we have left this world.

Let us join and meet, with Jesus as our Lord and Savior.

Let the Navigators help you through this journey of enlightenment and salvation.

Send me a message either through these numbers 09277663421 / 09059204780 / 4446758 or through any of my accounts: imstuckinbaguio.multiply.com or jermainevb@yahoo.com for friendster and e-mail stuff. You could also visit www.philnavs.org to know more of our organization.

We encourage everyone... to know Christ and to make Him known.

God Bless to everyone!

Baguio... having a face lift.

Yup! Face lift that is....

New sidewalks for Session Road (hmmm, it reminds me of place in Baguio too, oh, it's UPB's gale), renovating (just for the lack of a better term) Burnham's Children Park, City Hall with its supposedly pre-war feel? what?, tarpaulin with butterflies on it (hehe, the centennial logo), and some Centennial Commission tuck within the cold walls of the biggest edifice north of Manila.

Oh shouldn't we forget more squatters around town and once picturesque barangays, more dog poop, more garbage, more rude vendors on the streets, more flyovers (one more is planned in Bokawkan... shish.), more people who cannot understand that littering was once a mortal sin in Baguio (yup, people would throw back the garbage to you), more rude drivers especially taxi and sorry for the anger but trancoville and aurora hill drivers need some spanking and needle pricking to wake up to their senses that the place are not theirs to own.

hehe. wah, I am in the ranting mode once again but frustration coupled with inaction by concerned people in government makes Baguio a place to be called that-was-the-place-that-I-missed-to-have-been-its-old-glory. hashish.

GUYS WAKE UP, let us do our jobs as citizens, officials and visitors to make Baguio a place to be called home.

I agree that we should celebrate for the coming centennial birthday of this beloved city of mine but problems must be addressed, not only through government action but also by the people's willingness to participate.

Celebrations are bittersweet when fireworks amaze us above our heads while the land that we stand on is shaking with problems that would be unique in the case of Baguio City.

Hayan, tama na ang bunganga, tara na! hehe.

A symptom of being stuck in Baguio. :p

First day high??? Tiring myself to death.

It is my first day in Campus Radio's internship program and I am tire. This is because we had to serve as PAs (prod. assistants) for the Videoke Idol Year 4.

The event may be considered small but this first day gave me a better glimpse on how a national radio station works outside the 4 corners of the network center.

Whew!! Kids playing and running around, parents and guardians who would want their kids win to the point of asking judges' favor, loading and unloading of stuff, running around for kids to join... wahhh!!! mind and body breaking indeed but it is worth the experience that one would learn from.

The Campus pipz are a funny bunch of people who woudn't stop at nothing to make people entertain... hehe. Whaha, fur-gie...(coined term from the costume of participant) ehehe.

Yup, I made myself tire to death.

Wahahaha. Kapuso na ako!! ()

Wahahaha. Kapuso na ako!! Well, maybe just for four months.

I am now an intern of the RGMA Metwork Center here in Baguio... In short, Campus Radio 92.7

Inasmuchas I want to go into Television, I prefer to start in radio for the mean time because it is both interesting and crazy.

I really wanted to go to ABS-CBN but I said to myself that why not take the other station in order to know the other side's culture (Though I am a kapamilya since I saw my first TV show...)

Today, we had the briefing for the station's Videoke Idol Yr. 4 which will be held in different barangays in the city to perk up ratings and support. Tomorrow, we will be at the South Sanitary Camp Brgy. where people will have fun and win some awesome prizes.

I bet things would be interesting because it would be my first time to attend and help with the Kapuso family. hehe. Let us see if they could bring me back to listening, and viewing as well, local stations because I lost trust in them since they just copy each other's work. hehe.

Well, here we go!!

Btw, Happy Independence Day to all!

ELECTION MANIA... 2 Years too early.

If Sen. Barack Obama made history by being the first African-American to be the Dem's Pres'l Nominee (and potential winner vs John McCain... hehe, just my opinion), Philippine politicians have also made their mark in history by announcing their bid for the 2010 elections.

Both the administration and opposition have lists to make the battle for money-greed-pride.

Let me ask all of you, list down all of the legislation that you have passed and give me a good reason why I should not worry about what food shall I eat if none at all? Why should I not ponder on killing, snatching, robbing people for a living? Why I should not take justice into my hands? Why I should not be complaining right now?

The Filipino people are hungry, sick and, most of the time, angry!

We never passed the generation when men and women in government cannot function without bashing on another person's stand or even his person. We never reached to the point of really having politicians who would stand by their constituents and listen to their concerns. We never had the chance to have our voices be heard because some loud mouthed in the chambers of the two houses of legislation.

Where shall we go now then?
Cannot politicians have the moral dignity and social reponsibility to work for the betterment of the country and not their political aspirations and dubious financial transactions?

We know that another phase of campaigning starts right after the last election... "Campaigning" for the next election.

Guys and gals in the government, 2010 is still two years away.
Do whatever you need to do as duly elected and supposedly trusted members of the society but do not mix your mindset to the next election.

How about us? Ordinaray citizens who, now, do not even know waht to do next with high oil and food prices while you get in your air-conditioned, clean, and gas-gussling PAJERO, BMW, JAGUAR, AUDI, GMC, FORD, and other car names for the rich and corrupt.

Your "well-spent" money could just go to us... simple as that.

It would seem that Filipinos are seen through the "eyes" of Ninoy, Jose Abad Santos, Roxas, and many more of the people who are drawn in our money for their contributions to the country... ironically.
